John Dunston
From January 2011, John will be one of the Senior Advisors at RSAppointments, the specialist arm of RSAcademics, which helps Governors with the search and selection of Heads.
John has served as a Head for over twenty years, first at Sibford School in Oxfordshire and from 1996 to 2010 at Leighton Park School in Reading.
John has been involved with the appointment of a number of HMC and SHMIS Heads, including the positions at Wisbech Grammar School, Thetford Grammar School and The John Lyon School in Harrow, and has also conducted several independent school Heads' appraisals. He has been an ISI Inspector since 1994 and a Reporting Inspector since 2001. He is also involved in the training of inspectors.
John is a former Chairman of SHMIS and of AEGIS, the Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students. He is currently a Governor of two independent schools, in HMC and IAPS.
