Directeur/Directrice – Château de Sauveterre

South-West France


Following the internal promotion of the current Directeur, the Cothill Trust seeks a new Directeur/Directrice to lead Château de Sauveterre from September 2019.

The Château, now in its thirtieth year as part of the Cothill Trust, is situated in beautiful forested grounds, 30 miles from Toulouse in south west France. The Château caters for up to 70 senior prep school aged children from Trust and other schools and provides a unique opportunity to experience all aspects of the region. The small team of international staff oversee a term of boarding and ensure the highest standards of pastoral care. Much of the curriculum is delivered in French.

The successful candidate will be a fluent French speaker with the experience necessary to be responsible for all aspects of the Château’s activities, including the pastoral care of each child, the management of the staff and interaction with the local community. Reporting to the Chief Executive of the Cothill Trust in the UK, the new Directeur/Directrice will need to have the imagination and strategic ability to take the Château through the next exciting phase of its development.

The role requires a high level of commitment and energy as the head of a full boarding community during term time. The Directeur/Directrice lives in an apartment provided in the Château. A compensation package commensurate with the candidate’s experience will be provided.
