An outstanding opportunity exists to become the founding Principal of the World Environment School, Coorg (WESC), southern India.

In partnership with one of the UK’s leading HMC schools and the Mobius Foundation, the Principal will realise the vision to develop a world class international school aimed at creating global citizens dedicated to environmental custodianship. Operating as a not-for-profit school with a sizable foundation, WESC will offer IGCSEs and the IBDP complemented by a wide ranging co-curricular programme to nurture the talents of every student whether these are academic, sporting, creative, aesthetic, adventurous or spiritual. To fulfil the school’s mission, the founding team will design and develop a pioneering environmental curriculum in association with one of UK’s most prestigious universities.
Welcoming the first cohort of students in August 2020, WESC will be a fully residential, co-educational school. WESC will have an outstanding pastoral care system; be a school of warm heartedness, allowing each student to discover the core happiness within themselves.
In post from August 2019 (ideally) or January 2020, the successful candidate will be an inspirational and innovative leader with excellent organisational and communication skills. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader and an outstanding educator, outward looking and with a strong commitment to developing a school with a clear social mission. She or he will have the creativity, determination and entrepreneurial spirit required to be a founding Principal and will embody all that WESC will stand for.
